The coronavirus pandemic has hit the Severn Valley Railway very hard. We have minimised costs, with most paid staff on furlough and we are applying for a business interruption loan until the Government’s CBILS scheme. However, with no passenger income for an uncertain length of time, the SVR is struggling.
Our Emergency Appeal, now called the Fight Back Fund has received impressive support. Both donations and share purchases have taken the amount raised to over £565,000 (correct as of 24 April 2020.)
Our deepest thanks to everyone who has donated or purchased shares.
The fight goes on, and the Fight Back Fund is still open. Please support us during our time of need, if you are able to. Every pound will count towards saving the SVR. Details at svr.co.uk
