This very useful engine is based at the Llangollen Railway and is owned by 80072 Steam Locomotive Co Ltd. She has visited the SVR many times in preservation:

Winter hire for Santa services 2011 and 2017

In addition 80072 is a rarity, an engine that worked over the SVR in service before being preserved. She was photographed on the line on three occasions during the very cold winter of 1962-63 (whilst allocated to Swansea East Dock, 87D), images can be found in the Sellick collection in the SVR Wiki.

Heritage Railway magazines reports 80072 will visit as a winter hire engine. She is expected to arrive on November 20th and the main purpose is for Santa trains. She will be staying until early next year, the internal SVR database shows her leaving on January 4th 2018.
